Under this service, Railways gives the option of auto upgradation to passengers while making train reservations on the official website of irctc.co.in. That is, if you have booked a ticket in sleeper coach, your seat will be upgraded to third AC.

There are three types of coaches in Indian Railways:- General, Sleeper and AC. You can travel in general coach by taking ordinary ticket. But this does not happen in sleeper and AC coaches, to travel in these you have to make reservation. Many times it happens that we have made reservation in sleeper coach but our ticket is for AC coach.
