Railway Reservation: Indian Railways works 24 hours to serve the passengers. This is the reason why Railways does not get time to do work related to maintenance and software upgrade. Summer special trains announced
To ensure that passengers do not have to suffer due to rush of train tickets and excessive crowding during the scorching heat, Indian Railways has announced to run summer special trains. Vande Bharat Express special trains will run from Egmore to Nagercoil sector of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, while Central Railway has also announced 16 additional weekly summer special train services, which will run between Mumbai and Karimnagar. Booking of summer special train 01067 has also started from 8th April 2024.
Central Railway will run 156 special trains
Apart from this, 156 summer special trains will also be run by Central Railway. These trains will run on Mumbai-Varanasi, Mumbai-Danapur, Mumbai-Samastipur, Mumbai-Prayagraj and Mumbai-Gorakhpur routes. 01053/01054 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Varanasi weekly special train will make 26 trips. 01409/01410 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT)-Danapur bi-weekly special train will make 52 trips. 01045/01046 LTT-Prayagraj Superfast AC Weekly Special, 01043/01044 LTT Samastipur Weekly Special and 01123/01124 LTT-Gorakhpur Weekly Special will make 26 trips each.
These trains will run under Eastern Railway
Eastern Railway will run summer special train between Sealdah-Jagi Road. 03105 Sealdah – Jagi Road train will run every Friday from April 12, 2024 to June 28, 2024, while in return, 03106 Jagi Road – Sealdah will run from April 13, 2024 to June 29, 2024.
