Railway passengers please pay attention, change in 18 trains, read and avoid inconvenience

Ahmedabad News: Ahmedabad's Kalupur railway station is undergoing a complete makeover, and is being redeveloped into a world-class station. To enable better maintenance of trains, Sabarmati station is also undergoing a major redevelopment, supported by upgradation of Integrated Coaching Depot (ICD) infrastructure, equipped with modern maintenance facilities for LHB rakes.

To improve capacity and provide better passenger amenities to meet the increasing demand of the rapidly growing Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar urban complex, other stations supplying Ahmedabad city such as Maninagar, Vatva, Chandlodiya and Asarva have also been converted as AMRUT stations. is being developed.

These infrastructure works will help in adding additional capacity to the existing busy rail network as well as decongest the station premises and new urban development around the satellite stations within the Ahmedabad city limits. Satellite stations in and around Ahmedabad will help in decongesting Ahmedabad station and develop a new city landscape in a planned manner within the vast city.

Gandhinagar, which is the administrative headquarters of Gujarat, is rapidly developing as an IT hub as well as an educational centre. The city is experiencing tremendous growth and is becoming one of the potential destinations for business and industry.

Gandhinagar Capital Station is the first station in the country to be redeveloped as a world class station. The station has many facilities for passengers, which are at par with airports. The station serves several trains, including the prestigious Vande Bharat train, and has the capacity to accommodate more trains.

According to a press release issued by Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railways, the terminals of some trains departing/standing at Ahmedabad railway station are being shifted to Gandhinagar Rajdhani or Sabarmati.

This shift in terminals will provide operational flexibility, reduce congestion at Ahmedabad station, allow enhancement and upgrade of passenger services, and enable accelerated implementation of infrastructure projects in the Ahmedabad city region.

With this change, the work of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train (NHSRCL), which involves construction work near the existing tracks, will proceed at a faster pace and gain more momentum to complete the project safely and on time.

The terminals of six pairs of trains have been shifted to Sabarmati while the terminals of three pairs of trains have been shifted to Gandhinagar Rajdhani. Accordingly, the timing of these trains will also be changed.

Trains shifted from Ahmedabad to Sabarmati

Train No. 12957 Ahmedabad – New Delhi Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express has changed its terminal to Sabarmati with effect from 07 April, 2024 and will depart from Sabarmari station at 19.05 hrs.

Similarly, Train No. 12958 New Delhi – Ahmedabad Swarna Jayanti Rajdhani Express will terminate at Sabarmati on 06 April, 2024 and reach Sabarmati station at 08.05 hrs.

Train No. 19401 Ahmedabad – Lucknow Weekly Express has changed its terminal to Sabarmati with effect from 01 April, 2024 and will depart from Sabarmati station at 10.05 hrs. Similarly, Train No. 19402 Lucknow-Ahmedabad Weekly Express will be terminated at Sabarmati on 02 April, 2024 and will reach Sabarmati station at 23.20 hrs.

Train No. 19407 Ahmedabad – Varanasi Weekly Express has changed its terminal to Sabarmati with effect from 28th March, 2024 and will depart from Sabarmati station at 22.00 hrs.

Similarly, Train No. 19408 Varanasi-Ahmedabad Weekly Express will be terminated at Sabarmati on 30 March 2024 and will reach Sabarmati station at 21.30 hrs.

Train No. 19409 Ahmedabad – Gorakhpur Bi-Weekly Express has changed its terminal to Sabarmati with effect from March 28, 2024 and will depart from Sabarmati station at 10.05 hrs.

Similarly, Train No. 19410 Gorakhpur-Ahmedabad Bi-Weekly Express will be terminated at Sabarmati on March 30, 2024 and will reach Sabarmati station at 10.00 hrs.

Train No. 20939 Ahmedabad – Sultanpur Weekly Superfast Express has changed its terminal to Sabarmati with effect from 26th March, 2024 and will depart from Sabarmati at 08.20 hrs.

Similarly, Train No. 20940 Sultanpur – Ahmedabad Weekly Superfast Express will be terminated at Sabarmati on 27 March, 2024 and will reach Sabarmati station at 21.30 hrs.

Train No. 19415 Ahmedabad – Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Katra Weekly Express has changed its terminal to Sabarmati with effect from March 31, 2024 and will depart from Sabarmati station at 20.45 hrs.

Similarly, Train No. 19416 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-Ahmedabad Weekly Express will terminate at Sabarmati on 02 April, 2024 and reach Sabarmati station at 21.30 hrs.

Trains shifted from Ahmedabad to Gandhinagar Rajdhani

Train No. 22957 Ahmedabad – Veraval Superfast Express has changed its terminal to Gandhinagar Capital with effect from 02 April, 2024 and will depart from Gandhinagar Capital station at 21.55 hrs. This train will have additional stoppage at Chandlodiya station and will arrive/depart at 22.18/22.20 hrs.

Similarly, Train No. 22958 Veraval – Ahmedabad Superfast Express will terminate at Gandhinagar Capital on April 01, 2024 and reach Gandhinagar Capital station at 05.55 hrs. This train will have additional stoppage at Chandlodiya station and will arrive/depart at 05.10/05.12 hrs.

Train No. 19223 Ahmedabad – Jammu Tawi Express has changed its terminal to Gandhinagar Capital with effect from 02 April, 2024 and will depart from Gandhinagar Capital station at 11.20 hrs. This train will depart stopping at Sabarmati station.

Similarly, Train No. 19224 Jammu Tawi – Ahmedabad Express will be terminated at Gandhinagar Capital on April 01, 2024 and will reach Gandhinagar Capital station at 13.30 hrs. This train will depart stopping at Sabarmati station.

Train No. 19119 Ahmedabad – Veraval Express has changed its terminal to Gandhinagar Capital with effect from 16th March, 2024 and will depart from Gandhinagar Capital station at 10.35 hrs. This train will have additional stoppage at Chandlodiya station and will arrive/depart at 11.00/11.02 hrs. This train will depart stopping at Sabarmati station.

Similarly, Train No. 19120 Veraval – Ahmedabad Express will be terminated at Gandhinagar Capital on 15 March 2024 and will reach Gandhinagar Capital station at 16.00 hrs. This train will have additional stoppage at Chandlodiya station and will arrive/depart at 15.10/15.12 hrs. This train will depart stopping at Sabarmati station.
