NFR has allocated seats under its various workshops and divisions as follows:

• Katihar (KIR) and Tindhariya (TDH) Workshops: 1103 seats

• Alipurduar (APDJ): 651 seats

• Rangia (RNY): 750 seats

• Lumding (LMG): 1274 seats

• Tinsukia (TSK): 860 seats

• New Boggan Workshop (NBQS) and Engineering Workshop (EWS/BNGN): 881 seats

• Dibrugarh Workshop (DBWS): 763 seats

• Headquarters (HQ)/Maligaon: 495 seats

Who can apply? Know Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:

• For General Posts: Minimum of 10+2 under (10+2) system from a recognized board 50% marks It is mandatory to have passed 10th (Matriculation) examination with B. (There is no requirement of minimum marks for SC/ST/PWBD candidates).

• Medical Laboratory Technician (Pathology & Radiology): For these posts, the candidate must have passed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) subjects. Also, there should be at least 50% marks in both 10th and 12th.

• Technical Qualification (ITI): It is mandatory for the candidate to have National Trade Certificate (ITI) issued by NCVT or SCVT in the relevant trade.

2. Age Limit:

• Minimum age of candidate to apply 15 years and maximum age 24 years Should not exceed.

• Age Relaxation: Reserved categories will be given relaxation in upper age limit as per rules—SC/ST will get relaxation of 5 years, OBC will get 3 years and PwBD category will get 10 years relaxation.

3. Required Documents:

While applying, you should have ready your 10th mark sheet and pass certificate, ITI final mark sheet, Provisional or National Trade Certificate (NTC) and 12th mark sheet (for MLT posts).

Selection Process: Direct Merit Recruitment without Examination

The biggest feature of this recruitment is that the candidates will not have to give any written examination for selection. The entire selection process will be based on the academic performance of the candidates:

1. Shortlisting: Candidates will be selected from the merit list prepared on the basis of average of marks obtained in Matriculation (10th) and ITI trade examination.

2. Tie-breaker rules: If two candidates have equal marks, the candidate with higher age will be given preference.

3. Document Verification (DV): by number of vacancies 1.5 times more Candidates will be called for document verification. After this, there will be medical examination of the successful candidates and then the final merit list will be released.
