Railway Fare Reduction: The Railway Board has given great relief to lakhs of passengers traveling daily. The minimum train fare has again been reduced to Rs 10. For the last three years, Railways had kept the minimum fare at Rs 30. Due to this, passengers had to pay three times the amount even to reach one station.
This decision of the Railway Board will benefit lakhs of daily commuters of the country including Delhi-NCR. Train is considered a cheap means of transportation in the country. This is the reason why lakhs of daily commuters travel by passenger trains every day. Before Corona arrived in the year 2020, the minimum fare in local trains was Rs 10, but after Corona, when the trains started operating, the minimum fare was reduced to Rs 30. Due to this, daily commuters had to pay three times the fare. However, passengers had many times demanded to reduce the fare. Instructions have been given by the Railway Board that a minimum fare of Rs 10 will be charged from the passengers. The UTS app has also been updated, including the local ticket booking software.
Express was running instead of local train

During this period, the operation of local (normal) class trains was stopped, but now they are being run. Due to this the minimum fare has again become Rs 10. This decision will benefit lakhs of daily commuters of the country including Delhi-NCR.
