Dhanbad, 26 August (HS). Giving a big benefit to the central employees, the Modi government has started a new pension scheme Unified Pension Scheme. Which will be implemented from April 1, 2025. Railway employees will also benefit from this. Giving information on the whole matter through a press conference on Monday, DRM of Dhanbad Railway Division Kamal Kishore Sinha said that the employees appointed after 2004 will get the benefit of UPS. In this, government employees will get pension after retirement. Under this, the benefit of fixed pension, minimum pension and family pension will be available.

ECRKYU leader Somen Dutta was also present at the press conference. He welcomed the new pension scheme introduced by the Central Government and expressed happiness and said that all the workers will get many benefits from this pension. Apart from gratuity and dearness allowance, a fixed amount will be given under the pension.

It is worth noting that in NPS, 10 percent contribution was deducted from the basic salary of the central government employee and 14 percent contribution from the government. Now in UPS, the employee's contribution will remain 10 percent, while the government's contribution will increase to 18.5 percent. On the other hand, the pension amount is not fixed in NPS because it is a market-linked scheme. On the other hand, UPS provides a guaranteed pension, which is 50 percent of the salary for those who joined the service after January 1, 2004.
