Railway employee accused of cheating of Rs 8 lakh in the name of getting his daughter’s job in Railways

The woman, resident of Majhola police station area of ​​the metropolis, gave a complaint letter to the Senior Superintendent of Police, accusing the railway employee of cheating her of Rs 8 lakh in the name of getting her daughter employed in the Railways. The SSP has instructed the Civil Lines Inspector of the police station to investigate the matter.

Santosh Gupta, resident of Ashok Samrat Nagar of Majhola area, said that a person living in Civil Lines area made acquaintance with me by claiming himself to be a railway employee. The accused told the woman that he would get her daughter a job in the Railways. Ten lakh rupees will have to be spent for this. The accused had taken Rs 8 lakh in advance from the woman on February 5. It was assured that the job would be provided within two months but even after six months the job was not provided. When the victim asked the accused for her money back, he gave him a cheque. When the woman deposited the check in the bank on November 11, the check bounced due to lack of money in the account. The victim also alleges that when she went home, the accused and his son threatened to kill her.

Meanwhile, Police Station Civil Inspector Manish Saxena said on Monday that he has started investigation in the matter. Action will be taken on the basis of whatever facts emerge in the investigation.
