Haridwar, November 25 (HS) On the instructions of District Magistrate Karmendra Singh, the administration conducted raids on Anganwadi centers across the district on Monday. In this sudden raid, a large number of children were found absent in most of the Anganwadi centers while many Anganwadi workers were also found missing. At some places the raid team found Anganwadi centers closed.
In this sudden raid, City Magistrate Kushma Chauhan took command in Haridwar urban area, while in Roorkee city and surrounding areas, Additional Deputy District Magistrate Yukta Mishra raided two Anganwadi centers. Roorkee’s Joint Magistrate Ashish Mishra also arrived with his team to inspect many Anganwadi centres. Block Development Officer Laksar, Block Development Officer Narsan, Block Development Officer Khananpur took the lead in inspecting Anganwadi centers in their respective blocks.
The DM gave instructions to improve the arrangements of all Anganwadi centers and ensure 100 percent attendance of children and Anganwadi workers at the centres. Along with this, instructions were also given to the officials to complete the construction of toilets, cleanliness, electricity and water supply.
