Rahul Gandhi will contest elections from Rae Bareli, ticket given to Kishori Lal Sharma from Amethi seat

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will contest from all the seats of Rae Bareli. The party has announced his name today. Whereas, Kishori Lal Sharma has been given ticket from Amethi. Earlier there were speculations that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would be given ticket from Amethi. Rahul is also contesting from Wayanad seat.

BJP has given ticket to Dinesh Pratap Singh, a minister in the Yogi government, from Rae Bareli, while Smriti Irani is contesting from Amethi. Earlier, Congress leaders had said that Rahul should contest from Amethi and Priyanka from Rae Bareli. However, Priyanka is not ready to contest the elections. The last date for nomination for Rae Bareli-Amethi seat is May 3, i.e. Rahul Gandhi will also file his nomination today.
