: Rahul Gandhi lost his cool on foreign soil, this is how India's image is getting tarnished – News India Live | News India

Rahul Gandhi Controversial Speech

Rahul Gandhi's controversial speech: There is an episode from the Mahabharata. In the last days of the exile, Bhima once saw Duryodhana held captive by a Yaksha. Bhima was very happy to see Duryodhana captured by his enemy. As soon as he returned to the hut, he informed Dharmaraj about this, but Yudhishthira ruined Bhima's happiness.

He said that we may have enmity, but for any outsider we are one hundred and five. Indian politics on foreign soil is also following the same tradition regarding its domestic issues, which the world saw in Geneva on 27 February 1994. Pakistan has presented a condemnation motion against India in the United Nations Human Rights Commission through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation regarding the alleged human rights violations taking place in Kashmir.

Had the resolution been passed, India would have faced severe economic sanctions from the Security Council. The then Prime Minister Narasimha Rao found a unique way out of this. A delegation led by the then opposition leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee was sent to Geneva to represent India, which also included the then Minister of State for External Affairs Salman Khurshid. Indian politics faced the crisis together and Pakistan's proposal fell flat on its face.

Rahul Gandhi is now playing the role of the leader of the opposition, but it seems that he has no faith in this tradition. Whenever he goes abroad, he makes statements that give rise to anti-national issues. Rahul, who recently went on a US tour, said, 'The fight in India today is whether as a Sikh he will be allowed to wear a turban or bangles or as a Sikh he will be able to go to the Gurudwara.

This fight is not just for them but for all religions.' The question is, are Sikhs in India being prevented from wearing turbans or going to gurudwaras? The answer is definitely no. In such a situation, if Rahul Gandhi's statement is linked to the Khalistan movement of his opponents, then the Congress should not have any objection. It is also natural for the BJP to remind Rahul of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

Rahul Gandhi's statements on foreign soil do get global publicity, but they create an image of India as a democratic and non-dictatorial country. In this way, Rahul is trying to tell the world that everyone in India is in danger and civil liberties have ended. Last year in America itself, Rahul had said that democracy in India is in danger. Earlier in 2022, he had said in London that the soul of India is under attack and without the soul, the country is nothing.

Rahul, who went on a tour to Germany in 2018, had said that Modi does not have the spirit of patriotism. After this, he compared Modi to Trump. In 2017, Rahul had said in America that Modi does not believe in the federal system of the country and wants to divide the country. Interestingly, in the last general election, Rahul kept scaring people that BJP and Modi want to end reservation. His views on reservation are rooted in caste calculation, but during his recent visit to America, he had said about reservation that when the situation in India improves, he will end reservation.

Reservation is not a big issue in the Haryana and Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections, but assembly elections are to be held in Jharkhand and Maharashtra in the coming days. Reservation and caste census are a big problem there. Seeing the controversy growing, Rahul Gandhi said that he wants to increase the reservation to more than 50 percent. Rahul also said in America that people who speak Tamil, Telugu, Kannada etc. are considered inferior for their language, culture and food habits.

One of the aims of Rahul Gandhi through his unbridled speech is to create an atmosphere for his party in the ongoing elections in the country, because events related to India happening on foreign soil attract the attention of the whole country. Through this, Rahul tries to woo his voters and increase his base and vote bank, but while doing so he forgets that he is not an ordinary leader.

Earlier his statements were making headlines as the former president of the oldest party of the country, now he is in the role of the leader of the opposition. Therefore, it is natural for the weight of his statements to increase. Now he is also as responsible towards the Constitution and the nation as the ruling party.

Therefore, whatever they say, they are expected to speak thoughtfully and responsibly, but here Rahul failed. His irresponsible statements encourage anti-national forces in India and outside India. The way Congress is defending Rahul's statements, it does not seem that it will be careful about his statements in future.
