Rahul Dravid: Team India's head coach Rahul Dravid's tenure ended after the ODI World Cup last year but BCCI has decided to extend him till this year's T20 World Cup. Now the Board of Control for Cricket in India has also invited applications for this post. The big question is who will be the next head coach of Team India? Last ICC tournament of Dravid's current tenure

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, the Indian team will play the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 starting from June 1 this year. Their final match is to be held on June 29. This will be India's last ICC tournament under Rahul Dravid as head coach. Rahul Dravid took over as the head coach of Team India in December 2021. After this India played T20 World Cup 2022. In which the team managed to reach the semi-finals and then the team played the final of the World Test Championship. However, it failed. India also hosts the ODI World Cup in late 2023. In which there was defeat. Now the Indian team will play the fourth ICC tournament under the leadership of head coach Rahul Dravid. If Dravid wants, he can fill the application invited by BCCI for this post, but if he is not interested then the team will get a new head coach.

At the forefront of this legendary race

Former Indian middle-order batsman VVS Laxman is at the forefront of the race to become the new head coach of Team India. He is currently the Head of Cricket at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) and is also the head coach of the India Under-19 and India A teams. Meanwhile, he can be made the new head coach of India. The tenure of the new head coach will start from July 1, immediately after the end of the T20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies. The tenure will be extended till 31 December 2027.

BCCI invited applications

The Board of Control for Cricket in India has invited applications for the appointment of the new head coach. The qualifications, experience, knowledge and skills required for this are as follows.

– Have played 30 test matches or 50 ODI matches

– Head coach of a full member test playing nation for a period of 2 years

– Head coach of an Associate Member/IPL team or equivalent international league/first-class team/national A team for a period of 3 years or

– Must have BCCI Level 3 Certification or equivalent

– Age should be less than 60 years.
