The number of ultra-Orthodox people in Israel is more than one million. That is, it is close to 12 percent of Israel's population. Ultra-Orthodox parties also have influence in power. These parties have long supported Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Even Orthodox Jews get tax exemption. Ordinary Jews used to serve in the army and pay taxes. Earlier, a bill was passed in the Israeli parliament that would allow radical Jewish youth to be partially recruited into the army. However, this law has not yet been implemented. Their leaders oppose this law.
