Palamu, June 22 (HS). The Mahadalit Musahar family of Murumatu village of Pandu police station area of the district has not been rehabilitated yet. According to the then Block Development Officer, for the last five years, the members of the Musahar family were living in a house built in Khata No.-44, Plot No.-437 of Murumatu village. On 29 August 2022, some anti-social elements demolished their kutcha house and forcibly put the family members in a car and left them in Loto forest. This was an inhuman act of anti-social elements. The above things were said by former MLA Radhakrishna Kishore. He was talking to journalists on Saturday.
He said that according to the report of the Zonal Officer, Murumatu Thana No.-595, Khata No.-44, Plot No.-437 is not settled in anyone's name. In such a situation, when the people of the Musahar family had been living in a house for the last five years, why did the officials of the Pandu administration not settle the said plot for the people of the Musahar caste, who are the most backward class of the society? The then Pandu administrative officials did not even try to know in what condition the people of the landless Musahar family were living. If they were landless, then it was the responsibility of the officials of the Pandu administration to rehabilitate them by providing government land at a suitable place. The Jharkhand government also has a resolution that land should be made available for housing and farming to the landless people of the state. The then concerned officials of Pandu have proved to be an obstacle in the implementation of the said resolution of the government. From my point of view, action should be taken against the administrative officials who are obstructing the implementation of the government resolution.
On 29 August 2022, when the Musahar family located in Murumatu village was displaced, then in a hurry, the officials of the district and Pandu administration issued a letter of approval for the construction of Ambedkar housing on the banks of the Banki river in Nevri village, five km from Murumatu village, without settling the land. The villagers of Nevri village have given a written application to the Zonal Officer, Pandu, saying that there is no vacant land in account number-42, plot number-37. The people of the aggrieved Musahar family have also said by giving affidavit that the then Block Development Officer has given them Ambedkar housing by luring and deceiving them. They will not settle on the land of the said Nevri village.
In this case, the then Block Development Officer Rahul Oraon lodged an FIR (No.-69/22) in Pandu police station and said that Dharmdev Yadav and other persons are not allowing the construction of government Ambedkar residence in village Nevri and unrest is being spread by creating dispute between Mushar-Muslim. The question arises that when according to the report of the Circle Officer, Khata-44, Plot-434 km of Murumatu village is not settled in the name of any religion-community or person, then what is the justification for disturbing peace between Mushar-Muslim in the FIR? Is this not a conspiracy by the then Block Development Officer, Pandu to increase the dispute between Mushar-Muslim?
