Questions raised on the selection of Team India, were 4 players cheated?

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced Team India for the Sri Lanka tour on 18 July. Rohit Sharma has been made the captain of Team India for the ODI series, while Suryakumar Yadav will be seen captaining for the T20 series. Now many questions are being raised on the selection of Team India. There are many players who could not make it to the team despite being in form. Due to which questions are now being raised on the selection of the team.

Rinku Singh

The ODI team selected for the Sri Lanka tour was a bit surprising. Ryan Paragon, who did not perform well on the Zimbabwe tour, has been selected in the team for the ODI and T20 series for the Sri Lanka tour. Rinku Singh, who is in good form, has been given a place in the T20 team but Rinku has been ignored from the ODI series. Many questions are being raised on this.

Sanju Samson was selected in the team for the T20 World Cup 2024, but Sanju had to sit on the bench in this tournament. After this, Sanju was included in the team for the Zimbabwe tour, Sanju also performed brilliantly in this series. After which now Sanju has got a chance in the T20 team for the Sri Lanka tour, while Sanju has been dropped from the ODI team. Not only this, Sanju scored a century in his last ODI match against South Africa, although he did not get a chance in the ODI team.

Hardik Pandya was made the vice-captain of Team India in the T20 World Cup 2024. In this tournament, Hardik performed brilliantly in every match for Team India. Pandya played an important role in making Team India the champion. Despite this, the champion player was not made the captain, let alone the vice-captain, in the T20 series. Shubman Gill has been made the vice-captain in the T20 series.

Abhishek Sharma, who performed brilliantly for Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL 2024, was selected in Team India for the Zimbabwe tour.
