Putin reached Beijing with a large delegation. Also included were five deputy prime ministers, heads of economic, diplomatic and security agencies, the head of the Railway Rostov State Atomic Energy Corporation and the head of the Ros-Kolos State Space Science Corporation. Apart from this, senior officials from 20 states of the Russian Federation were also included in this large delegation.
Russia-China bilateral talks included trade and economic cooperation. But Ukraine-war remained a major topic and the issue of environmental problems arising from that war also attracted attention.

This is Putin's second visit to China since last October. Notably, Putin's visit to China comes almost immediately after Xi-Jin Ping's recent visit to France, Hungary and Serbia.
