Putin said – Russia is ready for talks with America

Moscow, March 01 (HS). Russian President Vladimir Putin's tone towards America appears to be soft and changing. He said Russia is ready to resume arms-control talks with the United States. Putin made this announcement in his annual address to the nation. Putin's address to the nation was broadcast live in the country.

American newspaper The New York Times gave this information in its report. Putin said that the West is today taking the risk of nuclear conflict. President Vladimir Putin said the West would face the possibility of a nuclear response if it intervened more directly in the Ukraine war.

The Russian leader pointed to comments by French President Emmanuel Macron this week raising the possibility of sending NATO troops to Ukraine. Putin said NATO countries that are considering such a move should understand that this conflict could threaten the destruction of civilization.

It is notable that since his invasion of Ukraine two years ago, Putin has repeatedly threatened indirect nuclear war against the West. But now there has been some change in his attitude. He appears ready to restart arms-control talks with the US. On the other hand, America is again considering providing weapons to Ukraine.
