Purnia's literary gathering “Chatakdham” dedicated an evening to the late litterateur Gaurishankar Poorvati

Purnia, May 27 (HS). The book “Pratham Ankur” of the late litterateur and poet Gaurishankar Northwari, who was called a pillar of Chatakdham, was released on Monday at the Scout Bhawan of the District School Campus of Purnia under the aegis of Purnia’s literary Chaupal Chatakdham through the program “Ek Shaam Gaurishankar Northwari Ke Naam”.

On this occasion, the poetry work “Pratham Ankur” by late writer, late Gaurishankar Poorvri was jointly launched along with the book “Tumhara Nunu Bhaiya” by famous story writer Dr. Ramdev Singh. This book by Ramdev Singh contains the letters that Gaurishankar Poorvri had written to his brotherly friend Ramdev Singh in the last three decades.

Ramdev Singh used to address the late litterateur Gaurishankar Poorvati as Nunu Bhaiya, hence at the end of every letter he wrote to him, he used to write, Your Nunu Bhaiya and with this title he has compiled the letters written by his dear Gaurishankar Poorvati and paid his tribute to the departed soul, which has been published in the form of a book.

The programme was presided over by Chatakdham's leading member and 80-year-old retired Akashvani Centre Director, social worker, senior poet Vijay Nandan Prasad. While as the chief guest, Katihar DS College Principal and well-known name in the Hindi story world, Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh participated.

On this occasion, the chief guest Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh said that Gaurishankar Poorviri was definitely a true human being and a literary person, because he did and said what he thought, there was no adulteration in it. After retiring from the railway service, he lived literature to the fullest and made a name for himself at the street tea stall Chatakdham. Even today, he is alive in Chatakdham and in our memories.

Veteran writer Vijranandan Prasad also recalled many memories related to Charatak Dham and said that today when our close friend Gauri Babu is not physically present among us, we still feel his presence among us. When this book was published by Rachnakar Prakashan, it felt as if Gaurishankar Poorvri had returned! Because, now there is no doubt that he was the pillar of Chatakdham. Gaurishankar Poorvri will always remain in our minds. He also said that such events will be organized by Chatakdham in the future and many more such works will also be published.
