Kishanganj, 11 September (HS). After taking charge as Purnia IG, Shivdeep Vaman Rao Lande reached Kishanganj on Wednesday and held a meeting with Kishanganj SP Sagar Kumar regarding crime control. On reaching Kishanganj, IG Shivdeep Lande was first given a guard of honor. After the meeting was over, he met the media and praised the work being done by Kishanganj SP Sagar Kumar towards crime control in Kishanganj.
He said that while the rate of murders has decreased compared to previous years, other crimes have also decreased. Shivdeep Lande said that murders had increased due to land disputes but now the cases related to land disputes are being heard properly in police stations, due to which murders due to land disputes have reduced.
He said that in the past years when he was in additional charge as SP in Kishanganj, he had taught a lesson to the entry mafia. He talked about making a strong and concrete strategy to stop the increasing smack addiction in Seemanchal. Overall, during the inspection in Kishanganj, he seemed satisfied with the work of SP Sagar Kumar.
