Administrative reshuffle: A major administrative reshuffle has taken place in Punjab. The government on Thursday issued orders for the transfer of 38 IAS and one PCS officer. Meanwhile, the DCs of 10 districts have also been changed. Vikas Pratap Singh has been appointed Additional Chief Secretary Excise.
Alok Shekhar has been given the charge of Additional Chief Secretary Jail. While Krishna Kumar has been appointed Additional Finance Commissioner. On the other hand, Anindita Mitra, who returned from Chandigarh, has been appointed Corporation Secretary.

Shaukat Ahmad has been appointed as DC Bathinda, Sakshi Sahni as DC Amritsar, Preeti Yadav as DC Patiala, Jitinder Jorwal as DC Ludhiana, Deepshikha Sharma as DC Ferozepur, Sandeep Rishi as DC Sangrur, Amanpreet Kaur as DC Fazilka, Himanshu Jain as DC Ropar, Sona Thind has been appointed as DC Fatehgarh Sahib.
