Shimla, May 20 (HS). Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has again targeted Congress rebels and BJP. In a public meeting organized in favor of Congress candidate Anand Sharma from Kangra Lok Sabha seat in Churah assembly constituency of Chamba district, the Chief Minister said that this time's election will provide a new direction to the future politics of the country and the state.
He said that six MLAs of the Congress Party have been bought by the Bharatiya Janata Party and this election is an election to give a befitting reply to the politics of horse trading. He said that this time the people of the state will teach a tough lesson to the selling MLAs as well as the buying party. He said that three independent MLAs of the state have also sold out and are protesting outside the Assembly to get their resignation accepted to get the second installment.
The Chief Minister said that the Congress Party does not have money power and the power of the people is the strength of the Congress Party. The wishes of Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur and BJP to form Himachal Pradesh government will remain unfulfilled. He said that the Congress government will complete the remaining term of its three and a half years and there is no threat to the government. He said that the people of Himachal Pradesh are aware and have faith in Gods and Goddesses. In such a situation, the politics of horse trading is not acceptable to the people of Himachal Pradesh.
Sukhu said that BJP has been representing Kangra Lok Sabha seat for the last 15 years but BJP MPs have failed to raise the issues of Kangra Lok Sabha constituency prominently. He said that this time the Congress party has fielded veteran leader Anand Sharma by giving him a ticket. He said that Anand Sharma has been advocating the issues of Himachal Pradesh in the past and as a Lok Sabha MP, he will raise the voice of this Lok Sabha constituency. He said that Anand Sharma will strongly advocate the interests of Himachal Pradesh in the Parliament.
