Public Relations Decoration of Prasar: Life Time Achievement to Ojha of Jaipur and Public Relations Ratna Chauhan of Bikaner

Bikaner, 22 April (HS). The annual awards given by the Bikaner unit of the Public Relations and Allied Services Association of Rajasthan (PRASAR) were announced on the occasion of National Public Relations Day.

Prasar State Vice President (regional) Hari Shankar Acharya said that this year's Ghanshyam Goswami Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Bal Mukund Ojha, retired joint director of the Public Relations Department. Similarly, Kishan Kumar Vyas 'Azad' Memorial Jan Sampark Ratna Award will be presented to Amar Singh Chauhan, retired assistant director of the department.

Acharya said that this honor is being given every year by the Bikaner unit of Prasar from the year 2020. This year's awards were announced in this series. Churu-born Ojha was an approved journalist from 1974 to 1979. Later came into public relations services. After retirement in 2013, he is doing freelance writing. Many of his books have also been published. Jankavi Pradeep Sharma has also been honored with Literary Award and Ahimsa Seva Samman. Amar Singh Chauhan of Bikaner started public relations services from Jaisalmer. Chauhan has been posted in districts like Bikaner, Sirohi, Bhilwara, Nagaur, Churu, Sriganganagar etc. Retired as Assistant Director in August 2016.

Discussion on direction and condition of public relations

On Public Relations Day, a brainstorming session on the direction and condition of public relations was held under the chairmanship of Dinesh Chandra Saxena, retired joint director of the Public Relations Department, on behalf of Prasar. Saxena said that in the changing times, there has been a change in the mediums of public relations. Today, social media is being used on priority for public relations. He expressed his views on the public relations scenario of three decades ago and today. Vice President of Publicity Acharya said that public relations is a powerful medium to convey information about the policies and products of governments or any institution or organization to the target group. During this, Public Relations Officer Bhagyashree Godara, Assistant Public Relations Officer Nikita Bhati, IEC Coordinator of Zilla Parishad Gopal Joshi, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Shrimali, Sudhir Mishra, Bhavani Solanki of PR Mitra Club also spoke on mass communication and public relations.
