Public Holidays: All private and government banks in the state of Assam are going to remain closed on Wednesday, 4 September 2024. However, other states will function normally. Actually, Tirubhav Tithi of Srimanta Sankardev is falling on Wednesday, so there will be a public holiday in the banks of Assam state. Let us tell you that only three Republic Days (26 January), Independence Day (15 August) and Gandhi Jayanti (2 October) have been declared national holidays by the central government. Apart from this, there will be a total of 15 days holiday in banks in all the states of the country in the month of September, which also includes weekly holidays falling on second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. In the month of September, banks will be closed on Tirubhav tithi of Srimanta Sankardeva, Ganesh Chaturthi, First Onam, Milad-un-Nabi or Eid-e-Milad, Indrajatra/Eid-e-Milad, Pang-Lhabsol, Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi, Sree Narayana Guru Samadhi Day and Maharaja Hari Singh Ji's birthday.
