Ahmedabad. Today, as the bear market plunged, 3,340 of the nearly 4,000 stocks traded on the BSE closed with losses, while only 498 stocks ended higher despite the slump. Today's top losers include PSU stocks such as REC, Power Finance Corporation and Adani Group stocks such as Adani Ports, Adani Energy Solutions and Adani Enterprises. Stocks that closed with gains today include Dabur India, Hindustan Unilever, Marico, Sun TV Network, Britannia Industries, TCS, Nestle India, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints and Max Healthcare. The FMCG and healthcare sectors were the biggest losers. Other PSU stocks that registered notable losses include Bharat Heavy Electrical, J&K Bank, Bharat Electricals, Adani Green Energy, Steel Authority of India, ONGC, Vodafone Idea, NTPC and Rail Tel. Out of the 30 stocks listed on the Sensex, 25 closed with losses, while out of the 50 stocks listed on the Nifty, 37 closed with losses. NTPC, SBI and L&T were the top losers among Sensex stocks. Today, 745 stocks hit their lower circuit while 292 stocks hit their 52-week low.
