Priya Goyal, the newly appointed woman commissioner of Dhamtari Municipal Corporation, while discussing with the journalists on November 6, said that providing basic facilities will be the first priority of the corporation. Everyone will have to be responsible for work like cleanliness, tax collection, only then our city will become clean and beautiful. Conservation of ponds, recovery of tax from defaulters, electricity, water and sanitation facilities will be further improved.

He further said that efforts will be made to improve the drainage system of the city. There will be inspection of works in the new project. Sadar widening, Gauravpath widening project will be made so that the movement of people can be done easily. Encroachment on the banks of the pond will be investigated. Ground water level is maintained by ponds, hence conservation of ponds will be done on priority. If the shops are not open even after the auction, then we will call for their files and get them checked. Work will be done towards cleanliness and security of the city garden. Will once again highlight the issue of Gokul Nagar and talk to the dairy operators. Because accidents also happen due to cattle. There will be continuous arrest of cattle in the city.
