On Friday, the Municipal Corporation vacated the buildings allotted by SP MLA Samarpal Singh and another person in Company Bagh, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. This action was taken after the completion of the 15-year allotment period of those buildings. The Municipal Corporation had earlier issued notices, but this action was taken with force as the house was not vacant.
- The market value of this land spread over an area of 550 square meters is said to be around Rs 15 crore.

- Two residences located near the Composite School were evacuated in the presence of the Additional Municipal Commissioner, ACM II, and the police force.

- Ground floor building: Was allotted to SP MLA Samarpal Singh.
- Upper floor building: Was allotted in the name of LD Chaturvedi.
Allotment period ends:
- The period of 15 years of both these buildings had already been completed.
- On the orders of Municipal Commissioner Divyanshu Patel, the team vacated these buildings on Friday and restored the possession of the Municipal Corporation.
Land worth Rs 9 billion freed in 8 months
The Municipal Corporation has been running a campaign to free its land from encroachment for the last 8 months.
- According to Municipal Commissioner Divyanshu Patel, this process is going on as per the rules and so far land worth about Rs 9 billion has been freed from encroachment.
- Many of these properties are located in prime locations with development projects proposed for them.
