Babulal Marandi said in a press conference on Tuesday that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana 4 (PMGSY-IV), with central assistance of Rs 49,000 crore, construction and upgradation of 12,500 km of roads and bridges was approved for connectivity in 25,000 unconnected villages. Apart from this, strengthening India's road network was approved at a cost of Rs 50,600 crore.

Marandi said that to make rail travel faster and convenient, eight new railway line projects have been approved, which will generate employment of 4.42 crore man-days.
