Project Praveen: Skill training given to more than 61 thousand students

Lucknow, 06 March (HS). Yogi government is running its ambitious scheme Project Praveen to connect the boys and girls of the state with skill development during their studies. Under this scheme, youth are being prepared to get employment through free skill training and new age courses. This project is for students of class 9th to 12th who are studying in higher secondary schools of the state.

Under this, till now more than 61 thousand boys and girls in the state have been provided training in various skill development courses. Through this training, these boys and girls have started shaping their future. It is noteworthy that 'Project Praveen' is being operated under an MOU between Secondary Education and Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission. The main objective of this project is to revamp the education system and curriculum of the state.

State Minister of State for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge) Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that Project Praveen has been started as a pilot project in the year 2022-23. During this period, 20,582 students were given training in 150 government secondary boys and girls schools of the state. Besides, Kasturba Gandhi Girls School has also been linked to this scheme, in which 3,450 girl students received training. Similarly, a total of 315 government secondary schools have been included under Project Praveen in the year 2023-24. So far, skill development training has been provided to 61,400 students through these institutes.

The Skill Development Minister said that students studying in classes 9 to 12 in secondary schools, along with regular studies, should be given free training every day in the trades chosen as per their interest like IT sector, Electronics, Beautician, Healthcare, Apparel, Accounting etc. Used to be. All courses are certified and approved at all India level by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training. After training and assessment, students are also being given a certificate, which is valid throughout the country.

Must be a secondary school student

Students undergoing training under Project Praveen are given training by private training centers in the school itself. The trainers providing training are TOT certified trainers. Here TOT means Training of Teachers who are registered under Skill Development Mission. Whereas, if for some reason students leave their studies midway after 10th or 12th, then they can get a job or employment through the certificate related to the training of Project Praveen. Students applying through this should be students of government secondary school. Along with this, it is necessary for the student to have studied in class 10th and 12th, only then he can be eligible under this scheme.
