To give the message of environmental protection, the professor couple of SBSSPJ College Parathgama took a unique initiative and started a new life by getting the son and daughter-in-law to plant a sapling with mehndi applied on their hands. Before this, they had also given a new message for environmental awareness among the people by getting the environmental message printed on the wedding card. Along with this, 1001 saplings like mango, guava, jackfruit, jamun, mahogany, teak, rose, jasmine, beli, adhul were distributed among all the guests who came to the reception organized on the wedding celebration with a pledge to protect the environment. The guests were also overwhelmed by this unique welcome.
Manish Kumar, son of Professor Niranjan Kumar and Professor Neelam Kumari, resident of Mahagama, was married to Srishti, daughter of Smriti Shesh Sunil Kumar Singh and Vijayalakshmi, resident of Navgachiya, on July 14. After the marriage, as soon as the son and daughter-in-law reached home, without performing any rituals, they planted a mango sapling with hands applied with mehndi. And on July 16, on the occasion of the Daughter-in-law Welcome Feast, the newly married couple distributed 1001 saplings among the people, giving a new message to the society.
