Nainital, 27 August (HS). The process of registration of new advocates has started in Uttarakhand Bar Council. On the instructions of the Supreme Court, the Bar Council has reduced the registration fee.
In the information issued by Mehrban Singh Koranga, Member Secretary of Uttarakhand Bar Council, it has been told that the registration fee was changed in compliance with the order passed by the Supreme Court on 30 July 2024 in the writ petition Gaurav Kumar vs Union of India and others. Due to which the format of the registration form has also been changed. Candidates getting new registration will now apply in the new registration application form. The details of the fee have been given in the rules attached to it. Told that now the application on the new form will have to be submitted in the Bar Council office. The new format and rules of the form have been uploaded on the website of Bar Council of Uttarakhand. He told that the application form has to be downloaded from the website itself.
