Priyanka Gandhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has said that now she will leave Amethi and Rae Bareli only when the Election Commission asks to stop campaigning at 5 pm on May 18. Priyanka Gandhi is camping in Rae Bareli and Amethi to save Rae Bareli, the stronghold of the Nehru-Gandhi family, and to snatch the Amethi fort lost by Smriti Irani from the BJP. Priyanka has led Rahul Gandhi and Kishori Lal Sharma for the Lok Sabha elections to be held on May 6. Congress has sent former CM Bhupesh Baghel to Rae Bareli and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot to Amethi as senior observers.
While addressing the Congress workers conference, Priyanka Gandhi said- “Until the Election Commission asks me to leave at 5 pm on the 18th, I will not move from here. We will work day and night. we will travel. We will meet the workers day and night.
Priyanka told the workers that she had learned election campaigning from Kishori Lal Sharma, with whom she had contested Sonia Gandhi's election in Amethi in 1999. Priyanka said that Kishori Lal asked her to contest the elections in Amethi but she told Kishori Lal that you have contested many elections, this time I will contest the elections with you and will win.
Discussing Rahul's defeat from Amethi and Sonia's victory from Rae Bareli in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Priyanka said that last time also BJP could not break the fort of Rae Bareli because the public had protected it. Rae Bareli always gives the right message to the entire country. The message that will go from here to the country will be discussed all over the world.
