Gwalior, March 10 (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually inaugurate the new terminal buildings of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport, Gwalior and Dumna Airport, Jabalpur on Sunday. The inauguration ceremony of the air terminal buildings will begin at approximately 10 am.
Public Relations Officer Hitendra Singh Bhadauria said that Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 16 airport projects of the country worth about Rs 9 thousand 811 crore, including the newly constructed world's second largest airport in the capital Delhi, through video conferencing on Sunday at 10:45 am. do. These also include the inauguration of the grand terminal building of Gwalior, built at a cost of about Rs 498 crore, and the new terminal building of Dumna Airport in Jabalpur, built at a cost of about Rs 450 crore.
He said that Governor Mangubhai Patel, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and Deputy Chief Minister Jagdish Deora will attend the inauguration ceremony at Gwalior airport. Also, all the public representatives along with Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Public Works Minister Rakesh Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Sumitra Valmiki will be present in the program organized at Dumna Airport.
Gwalior terminal completed in shortest time in aviation history
The new terminal building of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport, Gwalior has been completed in the shortest time in the history of civil aviation of the country. In this, a glimpse of the cultural and historical splendor and architecture of Gwalior is visible. The work of the terminal building has been completed by the Airport Authority of India in a record 16 months at a cost of Rs 498 crore 50 lakh. Equipped with state-of-the-art aviation services, this terminal is full of international level facilities. This terminal building, established in an area of approximately 20 thousand 230 square meters, is capable of providing facilities to 1400 passengers simultaneously. In this, 16 check-in counters, 4 lifts, 4 passenger bridges, 6 X-ray machines, 3 escalators and parking capacity of 700 vehicles have been developed. Apart from creating infrastructure at the airport, the potential to connect Gwalior to more and more cities has been developed. Currently air flights are available from Gwalior to Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Mumbai and Ayodhya.
Chief Minister will transfer amount of Rs 678 crore to the accounts of 30,591 workers
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will also distribute ex-gratia amount under the Chief Minister Public Welfare (Sambal 2.0) Scheme in the inauguration program of the new building of Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Air Terminal on March 10. The Chief Minister will transfer an amount of Rs 678 crore to the accounts of the beneficiaries in 30 thousand 591 cases across the state through a single click. Apart from this, benefits will be distributed symbolically from the stage and the works of various departments will be inaugurated and Bhoomi Pujan will also be done by the Chief Minister.
