New Delhi, 15 February (HS). In the coming one week, the country is going to get the gift of seven All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of Rewari AIIMS. With this, on February 20, he will inaugurate Jammu AIIMS and on February 25, he will inaugurate five AIIMS hospitals in the country.
Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that in the last 60 years there were only 6 AIIMS in the country, but under the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seven AIIMS are being dedicated to the country in a week. All seven AIIMS, built at a cost of Rs 10 thousand crore, will strengthen the health systems of the country and provide better health services to the people. Speaking to the media on Thursday, Dr. Mandaviya said that on February 25, five AIIMS in the country will be dedicated to the nation, which include Rajkot AIIMS (Gujarat), Mangalagiri AIIMS (Andhra Pradesh), Rae Bareli AIIMS (Uttar Pradesh), Kalyani (West Bengal). AIIMS and Bathinda AIIMS are included. The Central Government has spent Rs 10 thousand crores on developing all these AIIMS.
He said that in the last six months, 29,000 faculty appointments have been made in many AIIMS of the country. With the opening of these AIIMS, health care services in the country will be further strengthened and millions of people will benefit from it.
What will be special in Rewari AIIMS-
Rewari AIIMS, to be built on 203 acres, will have 750 beds, 30 trauma beds, 75 ICU beds, 16 operation theatres, 15 super specialty departments, CT scan, MRI, lab facilities. Educational buildings will also be built in it, which will have medical college, nursing college, 500-seat auditorium, Ayush block-30 beds. Along with this there will also be night shelter for 150 people. Along with this, residential units and hostels will also be built. This AIIMS, to be built at a cost of approximately Rs 1646 crore, will benefit the people of Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.
