Kiwi, New Delhi: Despite the ongoing war in Ukraine, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going on a Kiwi tour. When he visits Ukraine next month, he is also scheduled to visit Kharkiv.
Modi met Volodymyr Zelensky during the G-7 summit in Italy. During that visit, Zelensky invited Narendra Modi to visit Ukraine, which he accepted.
It is noteworthy that after this Lok Sabha election, when Modi was elected Prime Minister for the third time, Zelensky also congratulated him.
In March this year, Prime Minister Modi and President Zelensky had a phone conversation. In which there was also talk about strengthening the partnership between the two countries. In this, Modi emphasized on resolving the Ukraine-Russia dispute through a joint policy. He also said that he will continue to make every effort to find a peaceful solution to the dispute and conflict.
India has already been saying that the dispute should be resolved peacefully through dialogue. India has also been saying that according to the UN Charter, every country should respect the sovereignty of other countries and respect the territorial integrity of other countries.
The important thing is that Narendra Modi had visited Russia earlier also and had a long discussion with President Putin on resolving the Ukraine dispute.
This has given observers hope that Modi's visit to Ukraine after Russia could prove to be fruitful. According to the list of the Ministry of External Affairs, during his visit to Ukraine, Modi is likely to visit Kharkiv, the site of a fierce war, in addition to Kiev.
