Prime Minister Modi's golden era overshadowed corruption: Avinash Rai Khanna

Dharamshala, 27 April (Hindustan Times). State BJP in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna said that during the tenure of Congress, India was known for corruption and during the tenure of Prime Minister Modi, India is known for public welfare schemes. He said this while addressing the Panna Pramukh Conference at Fatehpur in Kangra district on Saturday.

He said that when the BJP government came in 2014, we were at number 10 in the global economy and today the efforts of 140 crore countrymen have paid off that we have reached number 5 in the world economy. The country was in the grip of the demon of corruption. Scams worth lakhs of crores were destabilizing the economy. He said that earlier the central government used to give Rs 70 thousand crores to the local bodies, today it is going to more than three lakh crores. Today the Center is giving urea subsidy of ten lakh crores to the farmers. Khanna said, the bags of urea which are sold for Rs 3,000 in some markets of the world, are available to our farmers for Rs 300 and that is why the government of the country is giving subsidy of Rs 10 lakh crore to the farmers in urea.

He said that after 60 years of misgovernance by Congress, this 10 years of good governance by Modi was very important for the country. Modi ji has converted Congress's politics of fear, confusion and corruption into service, good governance and public welfare. The people of Indi Alliance are the ones who divide the country in the name of caste, religion, region and language and we are the ones who unite. He said that Modi has always considered Himachal Pradesh as his second home. The development of Himachal Pradesh has always been at the top of his priorities, that is why in the last 10 years he has given so much to a small hill state which could never have been imagined before. Be it rail, road or air means, Himachal Pradesh is very advanced today.

Whereas BJP candidate Rajiv Bhardwaj said that India's GDP will increase by 6.6 to 7.1 in the current financial year. Deloitte India has estimated India's gross domestic product (GDP) growth rate to be 6.6 percent in the current financial year 2024-25. Increase in exports and capital inflow will be the main factors in this. Deloitte said in its report on India's economic outlook that the rapid growth of the middle income group has increased the purchasing power. This is possible only because the way Prime Minister Narendra Modi has empowered the country, the country has gained economic strength.

BJP Lok Sabha candidate Rajiv Bhardwaj, Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami, former minister Rakesh Pathania were present in the program.
