Prime Minister Modi's gift to the deprived class, will launch 'PM-Suraj Portal' today at 4 pm – News India Live


New Delhi, March 13 (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in an event marking the nationwide outreach for credit assistance to deprived sections through video conference today (Wednesday) at 4 pm. The Prime Minister will launch the national 'PM-Suraj Portal' for social upliftment and employment-based public welfare. Also, loan assistance will be approved for one lakh entrepreneurs from deprived sections. This information was shared by the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on the eve of the event. Along with this, BJP has also shared the information about today's two programs of the Prime Minister on its X handle.

According to the Press Information Bureau, apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also interact with the beneficiaries of various government schemes from deprived groups including Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes and sanitation workers. On this occasion he will also address the public meeting. The PM-Suraj National Portal symbolizes the Prime Minister's commitment to give priority to the underprivileged. This is a big transformational initiative. Its objective is to uplift the most deprived sections of the society. Loan assistance will be provided to eligible individuals across the country through banks, nonbanking financial companies (NBFCs), micro finance institutions (MFIs) and other organizations.

During this program, the Prime Minister will also distribute Ayushman health cards and PPE kits to Safai Mitras (sewer and septic tank workers) under the National Action for Mechanical Sanitation (Namaste) scheme. This initiative is another important effort towards the health and safety of frontline workers working in challenging conditions. About three lakh beneficiaries from deprived groups of various government schemes will participate in the program. These people will join the program from more than 500 districts across the country.
