Union Minister and BJP candidate from Chandauli Lok Sabha seat Mahendra Nath Pandey expressed confidence that Prime Minister Modi will win from this seat for the second time.
Regarding Prime Minister Modi's visit, Pandey said that Varanasi is ready to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi today. The voters of Varanasi are ready to cast their votes and make Prime Minister Modi win the elections. Prime Minister Modi has done as much work for his parliamentary constituency as any other Prime Minister has done for his parliamentary constituency.
Chandauli MLA Ramesh Jaiswal said that entire Kashi is with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I claim that we will definitely win the elections. State Bharatiya Janata Party's media head Dharmendra Singh said that a large number of supporters are expected to attend the Prime Minister's road show. Earlier in the day, Dharmendra Singh had said that there is full hope that supporters and prominent leaders of the NDA alliance will come in support of PM Modi. 5-10 lakh supporters are expected to attend PM Modi's road show in Kashi.
Voting in the seventh phase in Varanasi – Varanasi is the stronghold of BJP and Prime Minister Modi. He won this seat twice in the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Congress has fielded Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai against Prime Minister Modi in Varanasi. This is the third time that Ajay Rai will face Prime Minister Modi in the Lok Sabha elections.
The seventh phase of voting in Varanasi will be held on June 1. It is noteworthy that in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Modi had won this seat by more than 674,664 votes and got 63.6 percent vote share. In 2014, Prime Minister Modi contested from two Lok Sabha seats, namely Vadodara in Gujarat and Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh.
