Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of various development projects worth more than Rs 7600 crore in Maharashtra through video conferencing this afternoon. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released the brief details of Prime Minister Modi's virtual foundation stone program on its X handle. Detailed information about this program has been given in the release of Press Information Bureau (PIB) of the Government of India.

According to a Press Information Bureau release, Prime Minister Modi will today lay the foundation stone for the upgradation of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport in Nagpur and the new integrated terminal building at Shirdi Airport. Apart from this, Indian Skill Institute Mumbai and Vidya Samiksha Kendra Maharashtra will be inaugurated. This program will start at around 1 pm through video conferencing.

The release said that the estimated cost of the project of upgradation of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, Nagpur is Rs 7000 crore. The project will act as a catalyst for growth in many sectors including manufacturing, aviation, tourism, logistics and healthcare. This will benefit Nagpur city and large parts of Vidarbha region. The estimated cost of the new integrated terminal building to be constructed in Shirdi airport is more than Rs 645 crore. Here world class facilities and amenities will be available for religious tourists coming to Shirdi. The theme of construction of the proposed terminal is based on the spiritual Neem tree of Sai Baba.

According to the PIB, in line with the Prime Minister's commitment to ensure affordable and accessible healthcare for all, 10 government medical colleges located in Mumbai, Nashik, Jalna, Amravati, Gadchiroli, Buldhana, Washim, Bhandara, Hingoli and Ambernath (Thane) Will launch. These colleges, along with increasing undergraduate and postgraduate seats, will also provide specialized tertiary healthcare services to the people. Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS) Mumbai. The institute plans to provide training in highly specialized areas such as mechatronics, artificial intelligence, data analytics, industrial automation and robotics.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Maharashtra's Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK). VSK will provide students, teachers and administrators access to important academic and administrative data through live chatbots like smart attendance, Swadhyay. It will provide high quality information to schools to effectively manage resources, strengthen relationships between parents and the state, and provide responsive support.
