Prime Minister Modi on tour to Gujarat and Rajasthan today

New Delhi, March 12 (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Rajasthan today (Tuesday). He will lay the foundation stone of various developmental projects worth over Rs 85,000 crore in Ahmedabad at around 9:15 am and dedicate some of them to the nation. After this, the Prime Minister will visit Sabarmati Ashram at around 10 o'clock. There he will inaugurate the Kochrab Ashram and also launch the master plan of the Gandhi Ashram Memorial. After this, Prime Minister Modi will visit Bharat Shakti in Pokhran, Rajasthan at around 1:45 pm. This is a massive display of indigenous defense capability in the form of live fire and skill exercises of the three services. India's power will be visible in Pokhran

According to PIB, Prime Minister Modi will observe a combined display of indigenous defense capabilities in the form of live fire and skill exercises of the three services in Pokhran, Rajasthan. The 'Bharat Shakti' exercise will showcase a range of indigenous weapon systems and platforms as a showcase of the country's might which is based on the country's self-reliance initiative. It will simulate realistic, coordinated, multi-domain operations showcasing the integrated operational capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces to counter threats across land, air, sea, cyber and space domains.

Major equipment and weapon systems taking part in the exercise include multiple weapons of the Indian Army including T-90 (IM) tanks, Dhanush and Sarang gun systems, Akash weapon system, logistics drones, robotic mules, Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) and Includes a range of unmanned aerial vehicles that will demonstrate advanced ground warfare and aerial reconnaissance capabilities.

Indian Navy will showcase Naval Anti-Ship Missiles, Autonomous Cargo Carrying Aerial Vehicles and Expandable Aerial Targets underlining its sea power and technological sophistication. The Indian Air Force will deploy indigenously developed Light Combat Aircraft Tejas, Light Utility Helicopter and Advanced Light Helicopters demonstrating air superiority and versatility in air operations.

With a clear signal of India's readiness to meet and overcome contemporary and future challenges with indigenously developed solutions, Bharat Shakti highlights the resilience, innovation and strength of India's domestic defense capabilities on the global stage. Prime Minister's Ahmedabad program

To rapidly advance railway infrastructure and connectivity, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be at DFC's Operations Control Center in Ahmedabad to lay the foundation stone of several railway projects worth over Rs 85,000 crore and dedicate them to the nation, according to the Press Information Bureau. Prime Minister will visit Railway Workshops, Loco Sheds, Pit Lines/Coaching Depot, Phaltan – Baramati New Line, Electric Traction System Upgradation Work and lay the foundation stone of New Khurja to Sahnewal section of Eastern DFC and Operation Control Center of Western DFC. (OCC), will dedicate to the nation two new sections of the Dedicated Freight Corridor between New Makarpura to New Gholwad section of Ahmedabad.

The Prime Minister will also flag off two new passenger trains between Asansol-Hatiya and Tirupati-Kollam stations.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also flag off freight trains on the dedicated freight corridor from New Khurja Junction, Sahnewal, New Rewari, New Kishangarh, New Gholwad and New Makarpura. The Prime Minister will dedicate 50 Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya Janaushadhi Kendras at railway stations to the nation. The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation 51 Gati Shakti Multi-Modal Cargo Terminals. The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation 1045 km of automatic signaling in 80 sections. Digital controlling of railway stations at 2646 stations will also be dedicated to the nation. 35 rail coach restaurants will be dedicated to the nation. The Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation more than 1500 One Station One Product stalls spread across the country. Will dedicate solar energy powered stations/buildings to the nation at 975 places.

Sabarmati Ashram Program

The Prime Minister will inaugurate the redeveloped Kochrab Ashram. This was the first ashram established by Mahatma Gandhi after his arrival in India from South Africa in 1915. It is still preserved by Gujarat Vidyapeeth as a monument and tourist destination. The Prime Minister will also launch the master plan of Gandhi Ashram Memorial. It has been the Prime Minister's constant endeavor to preserve and cherish the ideals for which Mahatma Gandhi stood. Its master plan includes new buildings for home administration facilities, visitor facilities such as an orientation centre, interactive workshops on charkha spinning, handmade paper, cotton weaving and leather work and public utilities. The buildings will host interactive exhibitions and activities showcasing aspects of Gandhiji's life as well as the legacy of the Ashram.
