Prime Minister Modi gifted 10 projects worth Rs 34,427 crore to the people of Chhattisgarh

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday participated in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra program organized at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in the capital Raipur through video conferencing. By pressing a button, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 10 projects worth Rs 34 thousand 427 crore and gave a big gift of development works to the people of Chhattisgarh. This includes inauguration of 9 projects costing Rs 18 thousand 897 crore and laying of foundation stone of one project worth Rs 15 thousand 530 crore.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, School Education Minister Brijmohan Agarwal, Agriculture Minister Ram Vichar Netam and a large number of common citizens participated in the program. On this occasion, stalls of various schemes were also set up and their beneficiaries were also present. This program of Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra will be held at CSEB Ground in Raipur West Assembly, BTI Ground Shankar Nagar in Raipur South Assembly, Gyan Prakash School Birgaon in Raipur Rural Assembly, Aggarwal Bhawan in Abhanpur Assembly, High School Paragaon in Arang Assembly and High School Kurud in Dharsiwa Assembly. Prime Minister Modi under the Ministry of Coal, open cast project worth Rs 173.46 crore, Chaal Coal Handling Plant in Raigarh area, Open cast project costing Rs 211.22 crore in Deepka area, Open cast project worth Rs 216.53 crore in Deepka Coal Handling Plant, Raigarh area. Baraud Coal Handling Plant inaugurated. These three open cast projects will reduce loading time through rapid loading system and reduce green house gas emissions.

Modi inaugurated the 100 MW AC/155 MW DC solar power project built in an area of ​​451 acres in 9 villages of Rajnandgaon district at a cost of Rs 907 crore under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy. He inaugurated two projects worth Rs 1007 crore under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, 52.40 km long road from Ambikapur to Shivnagar and 55.65 km long road (National Highway-49) from Banari to Masniakala. Ambikapur-Shivnagar road will increase connectivity with Raipur capital and Korba industrial area, which will lead to rapid development of the area. Similarly, the Banari-Masniakala road will save time and fuel in travel from Bilaspur to Raigarh/Orissa border and will lead to socio-economic development of the villages in the area.

The Prime Minister inaugurated Lara Supercritical Thermal Power Plant Stage-1 (2×800 MW), a project worth Rs 15,799 crore under the Ministry of Power. This project is located in Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh state. This project is based on supercritical technology.

Prime Minister Modi inaugurated two projects worth Rs 583 crore under the Railway Ministry, which include 50 MW solar power plant in Bhilai at a cost of Rs 280 crore and Bilaspur-Uslapur flyover at a cost of Rs 303 crore. Establishment of 50 MW solar plant will use solar energy to run trains and will promote green energy.

Bilaspur-Uslapur flyover (10.5 km) was built at a cost of Rs 303 crore. All trains coming from Howrah side will be able to go directly towards Katni from Bilaspur yard without any cross movement and without creating any hindrance in the movement on Howrah-Mumbai route. This will reduce the traffic pressure in Bilaspur. Besides, the mobility of trains will increase and agricultural products will have easy access to the market. He also flagged off the freight train from Bilaspur to the goods train via the newly constructed Bilaspur-Uslapur Rail Over Rail Flyover.

Prime Minister Modi laid the foundation stone of Lara Supercritical Thermal Power Plant Stage-2 (2×800 MW) in Raigarh under the Ministry of Energy. This project will create direct and indirect employment opportunities in the area. The project will further improve the availability of infrastructure development (such as access roads, drainage, communication, transport facilities, etc.) and social infrastructure (such as education and health care systems) in the surrounding area.
