Taking aim at the opposition, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that when Jan Dhan accounts were being opened, the opposition used to ridicule what would happen by opening empty accounts. Today it came to light that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji emptied the pockets of those who looted public money and sent the money of the poor directly to their accounts. It is natural for those whose pockets had access to public money to feel bad and oppose them.
25 years without stopping, without bowing and without wavering
The Chief Minister was addressing the program staging a drama series based on ‘Namo Seva Ankahi Kahaniyaan’ under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan at Lok Bhavan Auditorium on Friday. He said that on October 7, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will complete 25 years of public service as the Chief Minister of Gujarat and the Prime Minister of the country. This is a journey of service without stopping, without bowing and without wavering. In this, with the coordination of heritage and development, schemes were delivered to different sections of the society without discrimination.
He said that on October 7, 2001, Modi ji took charge of Gujarat at a time when the state was struggling with the earthquake tragedy. After this also came the challenge of riots. Amidst these circumstances, Gujarat emerged as a rapidly emerging state and model of development.
Targeted on ten years of UPA government
The Chief Minister said that there was distrust in the country due to corruption, anarchy and inaction of the Congress-led UPA government between 2004 and 2014. There were challenges on the economic front along with internal and external security. In the year 2014, villages, poor, farmers, youth and women expressed confidence in the leadership of Narendra Modi ji. After this, plans were taken forward keeping 140 crore Indians at the center instead of any caste, creed, religion, region or language. Earlier plans were made, but did not reach the ground effectively. Today, facilities like housing, cooking gas, toilets, health insurance and free ration are reaching the poor.
The slippers seller is also traveling by air
The Chief Minister said that new opportunities for startups and employment have been created for the youth. Highways, expressways, railways, metro and airports have expanded. Earlier no Prime Minister had been able to claim that even a person wearing slippers could travel by plane. Prime Minister Modi ji did not just say it, he demonstrated it. 7th October should be a day of inspiration for every Indian. This journey is related to fulfilling the resolve of self-reliant and developed India by 15 August 2047.
No person sleeps hungry in the country
The Chief Minister said that people who never had access to housing were provided housing. Toilets were built in the homes of 12 crore poor people. LPG was also made available through Ujjwala scheme. Health insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh was provided to the poor who were far away from treatment. Today, no person in the country can sleep hungry, because free food grains are being provided through the Pradhan Mantri Garib Anna Yojana.
Young people now providing jobs in the country
The Chief Minister said that in the double engine government, a chain of IIT, IIM, AIIMS, Triple IT, NIT have come up. Medical colleges and engineering institutes are being built. There are more than 2.5 lakh start ups in the country. Now our youth are not just becoming job takers but also job providers. The work of connecting 12 crore farmers with the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi has also been possible under the leadership of Modi ji.
Drama series will be staged across the state
Before the CM’s address, to commemorate the completion of 25 years of public service of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as part of the Seva Sankalp campaign running from September 17, the artists of Bharatendu Natya Academy under the Culture Department performed. In the theatrical presentation, the journey from the devastation of Gujarat earthquake of 2001 to the reconstruction of Kutch and the public service journey of PM Narendra Modi was brought on stage. Appreciating the presentation, the Chief Minister directed to extend it to the entire state.
CM Yogi said that Bhojpuri in Purvanchal, Awadhi in central region, Braj language in Braj and local folk songs along with Bundelkhandi words in Bundelkhand should also be added to this presentation. The Chief Minister appreciated the child artistes and the troupe of Bharatendu Natya Academy and also posed for photographs with the artists after the programme. During this, he also paid tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary.
