Pakur, 10 September (HS). Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar while interacting with the villagers in Sonadhani Panchayat situated in Littipara block of Pakur district on Tuesday said that he has come here to get people's feedback and suggestions on the implementation of government schemes. He said that earlier only a small part of the money allocated for the schemes used to reach the people but today the situation has completely changed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays special attention to the fact that 100 percent benefits of the schemes reach the people.
The Governor said that free gas connection has been given under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and the government is constantly striving to provide pure drinking water to everyone through the Har Ghar Nal Yojana. Quality houses are being provided to the beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh is available under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Along with this, women are being empowered through self-help groups. Today electricity has reached every village.
The Governor also heard the problems of the villagers. The villagers demanded residential schools up to intermediate level, underlined the need to solve irrigation problems and construct roads. He said that construction of roads will facilitate children to go to school. The students stressed the need for teaching and learning arrangements at the block level for the students of primitive tribes to prepare for competitive examinations. Along with this, the issue of shortage of teachers in schools was also raised.
During this period the Governor also distributed assets among the primitive tribes.
