New Delhi, July 30 (HS). The domestic stock market is under pressure during early trade today. Today's trade had a mixed start at a flat level. After the market opened, Sensex and Nifty also rose due to buying support. But after the first half hour of trading, the stock market movement declined due to selling pressure. After the first one hour of trading, Sensex was trading with a strength of 0.05 percent and Nifty with a strength of 0.06 percent.
After the first hour of trading, among the major stocks of the stock market, shares of BPCL, Power Grid Corporation, NTPC, Tata Motors and Coal India were trading with a gain of 5.65 percent to 2.24 percent. On the other hand, shares of SBI Life Insurance, UltraTech Cement, LT Mindtree, HDFC Life and Shriram Finance were seen trading with a decline of 2.05 percent to 1.36 percent.
Till now, there was active trading in 2,239 stocks in the stock market. Out of these, 1,404 stocks were trading in the green zone by making profit, while 835 stocks were trading in the red zone by incurring loss. Similarly, out of the 30 stocks included in the Sensex, 13 stocks remained in the green zone with the support of buying. On the other hand, 17 stocks were trading in the red zone due to the pressure of selling. While out of the 50 stocks included in the Nifty, 23 stocks were seen trading in the green zone and 27 stocks in the red zone.
The BSE Sensex opened today with a slight decline of 6.56 points at a level of 81,349.28 points. Shortly after the start of trading, buyers started buying, due to which the index jumped to 81,520.94 points. But after this, due to selling pressure in the market, the index's movement declined. After the first 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, the Sensex was trading at a level of 81,392.84 points with a gain of 37 points.
In contrast to the Sensex, NSE's Nifty started trading today with a symbolic gain of 3.30 points at the level of 24,839.40 points. After the market opened, the index jumped more than 50 points to reach 24,887.45 points. But after this, the index's movement declined due to profit booking. After the initial 1 hour of trading amid continuous buying and selling in the market, at 10:15 am, Nifty was trading at the level of 24,852.10 points with a gain of 16 points.
Earlier on the last trading day, on Monday, the Sensex closed at 81,355.84 points with a marginal gain of 23.12 points i.e. 0.03 percent. On the other hand, the Nifty ended Monday's trading at 24,836.10 points with a symbolic gain of 1.25 points i.e. 0.01 percent.
