Independent MLAs support NC

National Conference, which emerged as the largest party in the elections, has started getting support from independent MLAs also. Now independent leader Satish Sharma, who won the elections from Chhamb assembly of Jammu, has joined the National Conference. Addressing a rally in Doda on Sunday, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal said, Aam Aadmi Party will fully support the NC to form the government.

Swearing in may take place on October 16

The path to form government in Jammu and Kashmir is now clear. The swearing-in ceremony of the Omar Abdullah-led government is likely to be held in Srinagar on October 16. However, the last date of swearing in has not been officially announced yet.

Omar Abdullah was elected leader of the legislative party

In the National Conference meeting held on Thursday, the party unanimously elected Omar Abdullah as the leader of the legislature party. Party President Farooq Abdullah gave this information. He said that a meeting of the legislative body of the party was held, in which Omar Abdullah was unanimously elected as the leader of the party.
