New flag of Supreme Court: The Supreme Court of India got a new flag on its 75th anniversary. The new flag of the Supreme Court has 'Yato Dharmasya Tato Jaya' written on it in Sanskrit. Which means 'Where there is Dharma there is victory'. President Draupadi Murmu unveiled the new flag and emblem of the Supreme Court during a ceremony held at Bharat Mandapam.
What is special about the new flag of the Supreme Court?
This new flag of the Supreme Court has the Sanskrit verse 'Yato Dharmasya Tato Jaya' inscribed on it, which means where there is Dharma, there is victory. The flag has the Ashoka Chakra at the top, the Supreme Court building in the middle and the Constitution book at the bottom. This new flag and symbol will also be used on cross table flags, single table flags, car flags, pole flags and wooden frames.
The President addressed the judges
On this occasion, President Draupadi Murmu addressed the judges and said, 'Efforts need to be made to change the 'culture of adjournment' in the courts to ensure speedy justice. 'Pending cases in the courts are a big challenge for all of us.'
The Chief Justice was also present
The President said, 'Protection of justice is the responsibility of all the judges of the country.' The stress level of the general public increases in the court environment.' He also directed to conduct a study on this subject and expressed happiness over the increase in the number of women judicial officers. Chief Justice D.Y. Chandrachud and Union Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal were also present at the event.
