New Delhi, April 20 (Hindustan Reporter) President Draupadi Murmu and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar have expressed grief over the Mahanadi boat accident in Jharsuguda, Odisha on Saturday.
President Murmu, in his message released on Twitter, said it was saddened to know that several people lost their lives after a boat capsized in the Mahanadi river near Jharsuguda, Odisha. My heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of all those affected by the tragedy.
Vice President Dhankhar wrote in a message on X, “Extremely saddened by the tragic incident of boat capsizing in Mahanadi in Jharsuguda district of Odisha. My condolences to the bereaved families and prayers for the speedy recovery of the injured.”
It is noteworthy that so far seven bodies have been recovered in the incident of boat sinking in Shardha of Lakhanpur in Mahanadi in Odisha on Friday. All of them were residents of neighboring state Chhattisgarh.
