Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel paid tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri on the occasion of their birth anniversary by offering garlands and flowers to their paintings and statues at the Raj Bhavan and congratulated everyone.

Along with the Governor, Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde, Special Secretary Shriprakash Gupta and other officers and employees of Raj Bhavan also paid floral tributes and paid homage.

On this occasion, in the Gandhi Auditorium of Raj Bhavan, the children of Raj Bhavan Presidents presented Bapu's favorite bhajans Ramdhun, Om Tatsat and Vaishnav Jan and co-presentations were given by the artists of Bhatkhande Sanskriti University, Lucknow.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Governor Dr. Sudhir Mahadev Bobde, while congratulating Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri on their birth anniversary, said that the principles and contribution of these great personalities to the country will continue to guide us and the coming generations. He said that the thoughts and basic human values ​​of these personalities have relevance even today. Discussing Mahatma Gandhi's principles of Satyagraha, non-violence and civil disobedience, he said that the country's policies have been decided on these values. He said that the foundation of Ramrajya and Gram Panchayat of the Father of the Nation is important for village development in the present time and the vision of development will not be fulfilled until the village is not developed.

Additional Chief Secretary said that under the Swachhta Seva Pakhwada, various programs were organized in the Raj Bhavan, due to which the work culture of collectivity developed in the Raj Bhavan. He thanked the Raj Bhavan employees for their active participation in the Seva Pakhwada and said that keeping in mind the diversity of India, work should be done with collective harmony by targeting development.
