Koderma, 7 October (Hindustan Reporter). Prerna branch of Marwari Yuva Manch Jhumritilaiya has taken up the cause of social service during the nine days of Navratri. Assistant Minister of Prerna Branch, Shreya Kedia said that doing social service gives spiritual peace and this work becomes even more important on a special festival like Navratri. All our members are fully engaged in providing help to the last person of the society.
Kedia said that the most important objective of Prerna Shakha is to take the 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign forward in the direction of empowerment. The branch keeps girl child protection at the top of its priorities. “If you don't have a daughter, where will you get a daughter-in-law and who will you get Rakhi tied on your wrist? If you don't have a daughter, how will you be able to worship 9 girls during Navratri? This idea has become a source of inspiration for the members of the branch. Prerna Shakha has organized nine different social programs during the nine days of Navratri.
The objective of these programs is not only to worship but also to spread awareness on various issues of the society. The branch has organized poster awareness campaign, signature campaign, baby kit distribution, street play, slogan writing competition, support to needy girls, fancy dress competition, stationery distribution and cow food distribution program in Gaushala. During these nine days of Navratri, Prerna Shakha visited old age homes and honored the elders living there.
