Ingredients to make Jaljeera

  • 1/2 cup mint leaves
  • 1/2 cup coriander
  • 1/2 inch piece of ginger
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
  • 2 teaspoons Sindhav salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 teaspoon dry mango powder
  • 1 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • 4 cups cold water

How to make Jaljeera

  • To make Jaljeera, first make a smooth paste by adding mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger and 1/2 cup water in a blender and take it out in a glass bowl.
  • – Now add lemon juice, roasted cumin powder, asafoetida, Sindhav salt, salt, ground black pepper, sugar, dry mango powder and tamarind paste in a bowl and mix.
  • – Add the remaining three and a half cups of water in the same bowl and mix everything well. – Now add salt, lemon juice and tamarind paste and taste.
  • You can increase or decrease the amount if necessary. To enhance the flavor of Jaljeera, keep it in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours before serving.
  • After this, put a few pieces of ice in a glass and serve with jaljeera.
