Hardoi, 4 July (HS). A meeting regarding waterlogging was held in Hardoi Nagar Palika on Thursday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Mangala Prasad Singh in the Collectorate Auditorium. The District Magistrate said that an action plan should be prepared after getting complete information about the root cause of the waterlogging problem. Work should be done to make the water flow in the drains uninterrupted till the final destination. The slope of the flow should be corrected. Obstructions in water flow should be removed from the road.
He said that the choked drains of Vikas Bhawan and Collectorate should be cleaned immediately. Action should be taken against the encroachment obstructing the cleaning of drains and a case should be registered under PP Act immediately.
He directed the irrigation department to get all the drains recorded using drones. He said that if the waterlogging situation does not improve, the concerned will be held accountable. Additional District Magistrate Priyanka Singh, City Magistrate Sunil Kumar Trivedi and other concerned officials were present on this occasion.
