Chandigarh: After the dismissal of four ministers from the cabinet of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Aam Aadmi Party high command is now planning to make changes in the state organizational structure of the party. The party high command has made up its mind to make changes in the organizational structure of AAP Punjab. The new President (Convenor) of Punjab can be appointed at any time.
It is known that the high command is in a mood to hand over the command of the party to a Hindu face. Presently Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is also the President of the party and Principal Buddha Ram serves as the acting President. It is being said that the party high command, especially Arvind Kejriwal, is not getting any good feedback towards Punjab. Kejriwal has received many complaints of corruption in the state. While many other civil and police officers are expected to be replaced in the coming days, changes are also expected in the organizational structure to make the party smarter.
Similarly, chairpersons and members of various boards, corporations will be appointed, while chairpersons, members and other office bearers whose reports are not good will be dismissed and new leaders will be appointed in their place. The government has invited applications for the fifth time for the appointment of Chairman of Punjab State Scheduled Caste Commission. Resentment towards the government is also being found among the Scheduled Caste category due to repeated calls for applications.
After coming out of jail, when party convenor Arvind Kejriwal gathered feedback on Punjab, there were reports of many people not taking the work seriously. Due to which four ministers were dismissed in the honorable ministry and five new ministers were sworn in. Kejriwal's PA Baivabh Kumar has been posted to the post after the removal of Chief Minister Navneet Wadhwa, Baltej Pannu and Manpreet Kaur as posted in the media. After this, KAP Sinha has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary in place of Chief Secretary Anurag Verma. This is also the first time that a Chief Secretary has been re-appointed as Additional Chief Secretary. It is being told that Anurag Verma is very angry at being ousted from power and is considering going on central deputation.
Not only this, IRS officer Arbind Modi has been given cabinet rank yesterday and appointed as Chief Advisor in the Finance Department. However, it has been said that Modi will work on an honorary basis, that is, he will work without salary, but will be able to bear other expenses including accommodation, car, TA, DA. Similarly, Naresh Garg (Bobby) has been appointed OSD to Assembly Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan. There are speculations that an advisor or OSD will be appointed along with other ministers in the coming days. It is being told that Arvind Kejriwal is very worried about Punjab and with the desire to form the government again in 2027, he can make major changes in the state.
